Any party can be awesome when you get a good group of ppl together who want to have fun...play some fun games, have music, serve refreshments and keep it lively!

I don't know what you mean by "a lot" of ppl....it will cost to feed them and you have to keep them entertained.

You can always have a scavenger hunt...either by them finding things or taking pictures. You can also do an obstacle course.

Find an easy theme: a colors theme...or a Crayola theme where everyone comes dressed as a color beginning with the first letter of their name (crayola color selection online for the variety of colors)--
serve colorful cupcakes, candies, pretzel rods dipped in chocolate with sprinkles, make your own pizza to save some money....here's an easy recipe for "no fail pizza dough": you can use right away...so make enough of them for your party>>

2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup warm water
1 TAB baking powder
1 "egg size" amount of butter
1 pkg yeast

Dissolve yeast in warm water, mix rest of ingredients. Knead on a floured surface about 2 minutes. Press out in a pizza pan, put toppings and sauce on for the pizza. Bake 35 minutes 350^F until golden brown.

Hang up colorful balloons, use streamers, play Twister, and google "balloon games" for some fun ideas to do with balloons for games.

Go bowling, but at night they turn of the lights and everything glows
