I am in a new city with new friends and my birthday is coming up...?!

Question:

I am in a new city with new friends and my birthday is coming up...?

Should I invite people out to eat for dinner, or just tell them my birthday is coming up and let it be? I have always been surrounded by my family and good friends and have never needed to tell people nevertheless plan my own birthday event. Its a little weird too, since I have only known some of these people weeks and at the most only a few months.

Answers:
just say that its ur b-day and then invite them to drinks, but make sure its a few ppl. u dont want them to think ur trying to hard. and make it for drinks cuz well dinner is a..well ... u dont knw them well enough to do that, but drinks is simple and clean and u make tons of friends.
p.s HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no, tell them to met you at a strip club.

Hey, it's your birthday. Go out to dinner and have fun! If you feel wierd having them at your birthday party then don't invite them. It's your birthday, celebrate it how you like whether it's with your family or with your friends.

Just tell everyone it's your b-day and see if they want to get together for dinner or drinks.

Well everybody should be nice enough to atleast say Happy Birthday. And if you want to do something speacial have a party.

Do something low-key yet fun like a themed pot-luck dinner.

Pick a theme that would appeal to a larger group of people like Mexican. Then have folks bring in chips, salsa, gauc, fajita meat, Coronas...ect....then just eat and enjoy each other's company.

I've done this lots of times and it's always a success!

Have fun and happy birthday!
