How long will an egg stay fresh in the fridge?!

Question:

How long will an egg stay fresh in the fridge?

Answers:
Definitely a fortnight... probably a month... any longer than that and I would be testing them by putting them in a bowl of water. If they float - they're almost certainly bad.

3 Months

Look at the best before and use by dates

2 weeks, 3 at most

look at the sell by date

Until it reaches the sell by date.

I have kept them for as long as 3 months and they were still good

they last a while longer than the used by dates that are printed on them

keep a chicken in the fridge that lays eggs. hey presto super duper fresh eggs all the time

technically an egg is fresh for 28 days, but why buy eggs if you don't eat them?

ages even long after the sell by date

they last a long time but the air sac in the egg gets bigger. never break an egg straight into you other ingredients in case it is bad always break it into a cup first.

well if yee look at the magic use by date magically imprinted on thee magic egg, you will know how long the magic egg will stay eatableynessly

It depends on how fresh the eggs were before they were put into the fridge. I have no problem using eggs which had been in my fridge for a month or more. You would still need to check the condition of the eggs before cracking them straight into any dish you are preparing, just in case.

Till their use by dates

2 months

check the best before date

Look at the date on the carton
or
place the eggs in a pot of cold water. If any float...they are bad.

just as long outside a fridge ask any good cook

If it clucks, chuck it.
