Whoa! Real sparklers seem to be a bit of an overkill... Try this instead, there are tall skinny candles that are made for cakes that burn like sparklers, but it can be blown out too. They can be found at larger party supply stores, or on line.
I used these on my son's cake last year and he thought they were pretty cool!

Don't burn the house down! And be careful with the sparklers they can give you third degree burns if touched while burning.

I would think at the point you have sparklers going candles would be overwhelmed and unnecessary.
