What is a baby shrimp called?!

Question:

What is a baby shrimp called?

Answers:
Well, it might be named after its dad, or a wealthy relative....
Seriously, shrimp are graded by how many it takes to make a pound. A small shrimp is not necessarily a baby shrimp.
Sometimes fancy restaurants call small shrimps 'crevette' (which is french for shrimp) and refer to the other shrimp on the menu as 'jumbo shrimp' or something of that sort.
Prawns are not the same as shrimp. They are a related marine crustacean, but they are not shrimp.

Grass shrimp are small shrimp. The small shrimp you would normally find in a restaurant would be called 41/50 shrimp, meaning there are 41 to 50 shrimp in a pound. there are various sizes up to the u-15 (under 15 shrimp in a pound) usually called jumbo shrimp , then you have u-10 which is colassal. as for baby shirmp, I don't know that a young shirmp has a different name.

Tasty.
