Fun Birthday Party Themes?!

I did a cruise theme party once that was fun. Guests were asked to dress in appropriate cruise/resort attire, and were met at the door by the "Purser" who gave them place cards for the table on the "Patio Deck". We made fun tropical drinks and served cruise-ship style appetizers. Tables were decorated in a nautical theme. Have some reggae music playing and do some limbo or have a hula-hoop contest if you want. It doesn't need to be outdoors if you have enough indoor space for it. We also had a "best of everything" party. If your budget is tight ask guests to help out, or it will get expensive! Serve really good champagne, shrimp cocktail, beef tenderloin, etc. Guests should dress accordingly. Use an opulent centerpiece & your best dishes and stemware. We had our 12-year old daughter dress as a French maid and she opened the door for our guests. Whatever you do, just have fun with it!
Happy deathday. Everyone has to show up covered in blood and gore, and attack each other throughout the night. Suggest they saw off appendages at the end of the night and leave them on your porch in place of presents.
