Question:

My parents are coming over for dinner what should i feed them?

My Mother likes pretty much anything but may Dad hates everything but IKEA $.99 breakfasts. SOS!!!!

Answers:
If your Dad isn't going to be pleased by what you make, don't worry about his likes and dislikes. Concentrate on your mom. Or-- what's your specialty? Roast beef? Chicken?Spaghetti? Pork Chops? Chili? Road Kill???
Rule of the thumb if you have picky eaters or if you aren't sure about what to serve someone is to serve a nice 'meat and potatoes' meal, then splurge on a fancy desert. Because they eat it last, that's what they'll remember.
Enjoy!
And tell your Dad to wash his hands before dinner, and not to talk with his mouth full .... ;-)

Then don't worry about pleasing your dad and just cook what you
feel comfortable cooking. If you want, try to guilt trip your dad
into liking what you cooked.

how about you go to the store and buy a nice rotasiueree chicken already made everyone likes those, they have mashed potatoes too already made and get a can of corn and your done, simple, who dosent like that

dad is a dope so forgit him. Get local Indian take away

A pot roast. You can't mess it up.

G00D F00D, ANYTHNG.

try something italian it allways works on my parents!

spaghetti, salad and garlic bread....easiest for a guy

have a ton - i work and go to school so none of these take more then 30 minutes - and are easy to clean up

taco salad -

tortilla chips
ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning mix
1 head romaine lettuce
1 can corn (drain and rinse - but do not cook)
1 can black beans (drain & rinse but do not cook)
1/2 green pepper (you can use other colors too if you want to be fancy)
1/4 cup ranch dressing
1/4 cup salsa (hot medium or mild depending on how spicy you both like

1 big bowl (with lid if possible)
1 frying pan
one small container with lid (1-2 cup size or a cup with a lid that closes)

1st put ground beef in frying pan (if ground beef is not fully defrosted add a little water to the frying pan it will help it cook faster & more evenly) and follow direction on the packet to make the taco beef

while ground beef is cooking - wash and cut/tear lettuce into bits sized pieces in the big bowl - dice pepper and add to bowl - add drained corn & black beans

in small container mix ranch dressing & salsa (i use a container with a lid so i can shake it up) it makes a south west ranch dressing

add taco beef (once fully cooked) & southwest ranch to the big bowl

if you have a lid for the bowl add lid and shake to mix it up - it not use a couple large spoons/tongs to mix it serve with tortilla chips

spaghetti pie -
for leftover spaghetti -

2-3 helping left over spaghetti (any noodles with or without meat)
3/4 cup bread crumbs
2 cups mozzerella, provolone or italian mix cheese (slice provolone or mozzerella works too
1 pie pan or casserole dish

pour breadcrumbs into pie pan - evenly coat bottom - add leftover spaghetti - cover top in cheese - bake at 325 until bubbly & cheese begin to turn golden - allow to cool 10 minutes - cut & serve like a pie

Also try the chicken pot pie recipe on a box of bisquick or left over chicken - all you need is chicken mixxed veggies (canned frozen or fresh) condensed cream soup (mushroom/chicken or celery) and the bisquick (eggs & milk)!!!

for a quick & easy sauce to go on baked broiled grilled or boiled chicken - put it in a frying pan with a can of condensed cream soup (do not add the milk) and saute for 5 mins until the sauce is hot!!

order take out and say you made it

Take sometime to prepare the food that your mom and dad want to eat. Entertaining your parents don't happen everyday, so try to please them.

If u hate them poison them ... lol

And if u like them like take tem out to a cheap buffet becuz ur dad has to like sumtin there theres alot of choices ... ummmmmm thanx alot now i wanna go !!!!!!! :)

may be they surprise you bringing food with them. My parents used to do that. Also my mother used to help me in preparing the food. Your parents may do the same.
