I'd check with your ten year old and see if she'd like a theme party. Little girls sometimes like to dress up, wear high heels, hats, and lots of jewelry to have "tea", they also like to roller or ice skate, love Justin Bieber etc. At any rate, the food depends sort of on the theme. For a tea, for example, you might have:

1. Finger sandwiches (cut regular bread into quarters) made from cream cheese, ham or turkey, and sliced olived.
2. Mini foods such as pizza bites, scones, mozarella sticks etc.
3. Fruit to dip in a marshmallow raspberry yogurt dip
4. Carrots and celery stix with ranch dressing
5. Lemon bars, mini brownie bites, mini cupcakes etc.

For other foods, consider:

1. Homemade individual pizzas
2. Veges and dip
3. A giant sub sandwich
4. Spaghetti and meatballs
5. Chicken tenders and fries
etc.

Good luck!

Is there a theme for this party...we can maybe give you ideas of some things to go along with it...otherwise, if not doing the usual pizza party, there's always sandwiches cut out using cookie cutters for shapes (have egg salad, chicken salad, ham n cheese, turkey)

Can also have chicken nuggets and dipping sauces

Mini sliders (burgers)

Have a salad or two: potato and macaroni...or can do mac n cheese.
Fruit pieces on party picks (pineapple chunk, grape, maraschino cherry...or can add any melon balls, too)....stick picks into half a melon..or orange...for easy grabbing

Have some melted chocolate in a fondue pot...can dip the fruits in it...and also marshmallows, pretzel rods, angel food cake

Make a decoration using veggies...like raw cauliflower, broccoli and cherry tomatoes...arrange a design on a platter..have dip on the side.

Sweet treats can be the birthday cake or cupcakes and cookies or making CAKE cones:
Ingredients>>

any 2 layer cake mix of your choice.
About 24 ice cream cake cones (the ones with the flat bottoms).
Frosting and decorations of your choice.

Mix cake mix as directed.

Fill cones with amount of batter that you would use to make cupcakes. Place inside a 9x13 inch baking pan to keep them upright.

Bake according to package directions for cupcakes.

Cake cones come out looking like they have a scoop of ice cream in them. Cool. When completely cooled frost and decorate as desired. (Decorations can be sprinkles or a cherry on top or a gummi candy or mini chocolate chips or crushed nuts, etc)

Simple foods work well. Another poster mentioned pizza--for this, you can use English muffins for the base and heat them in the microwave.

Bagel bites and pizza rolls are also good.

About McDs parties--I used to work at a McDs. The party has to be booked in advance. IIRC, the base price includes the room, one cake, a hostess, and cleanup. Other food will cost extra. Check at the McDs for prices.

Party: worked at McDs.

have them make individual pizzas topped with their favorite toppings or maybe a taco party .....you cook the meat and let them all help with the lettuce cheese tomatos and ect.....this way they feel they did the meal and it teaches them something about meal preperation and alot more fun than just sitting down to eat lol.....hope this helps

Cupcakes! They make cakes out of a bunch of 'em that look like caterpillars! Fruit salad, if you are wanting to go healthy. You could have a party themed "tiny" and have those mini sandwiches and baby carrots and miniature foods. Have fun with it, kids will go for lots of different things.

You could do hamburgers and hotdog with potato salad and baked beans chips and dips.

Or pizza and garlic bread.

Or spaghetti, garlic bread, salads.

Or sandwiches and chips with a fruit salad.

hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, cake, ice cream, ask her what she'd like. or order some pizza. you could have the party at McDonald's and they'll make the food. I don't know what it costs, though.

Pizza!
