Is there a link between Eggs Benedict and Benedict Arnold?!

Question:

Is there a link between Eggs Benedict and Benedict Arnold?

*...there are no stupid questions, only stupid people asking questions! *

Answers:
There doesn't appear to be. Several stories saying it was named after a chef in NY, and also by a woman who requested them from the chef at Delmonicos. Interesting, because I always thought there WAS a connection!

No , Eggs Benedict was a dish prepared by the staff of Sir Winston. The butler being a very nervous and clumsey person would shake and mix the dish on the long walk to the bedroom. The butlers name
was Hornwelsy Benedict, thus Sir Winston would ask for his eggs with "Eggs Benedict please".

NO, there is no connection. I don't think they even originated in the same century.
