Help with chili please!?!

Question: Help with chili please!?
Chilli help =] please?
i went to make a chilli but seems like every recipe i come across calls for canned tomatoes....i would like to use REAL can i? if so how many do i use? I have roma and reg.. which 1 to use?

ALSO is there really a difference between FRESH and canned? or will chilli taste the same no matter what

Answers:

The differences you might find with using fresh tomatoes and using canned tomatoes is flavor and how much juice you get out of them. You definitely will have a fresher flavor when using tomatoes that aren't in a can. I would use the romas because they have a nicer flavor and don't worry your chilli will come out great. Good luck and enjoy.

Here is the difference between fresh and canned tomatoes:

-One is in a can

-One is not in a can

The grocery store

you definately CAN use REAL tomatoes I would use the Roma ones for more flavour* maybe 4 roma tomatoes, u can always add more if you want*
making it FRESH will give the chilli a better flavour*

At this time of the year, you would be hard pressed to find really ripe tomatoes. Canned tomatoes are picked and canned always, at their ripest. I would always go with canned.

STOP MAKING CHILI AND GO INVADE POLAND AND THEN INVADE RUSSIA. AND THEN FRANCE. AND THEN BRITAIN.

I don't think tomatoes are needed, but if you want to use them id choose reg not roma. Also, i think fresh would end up tasting better than canned.

8 chopped Roma tomatoes equals one can and it will taste much better than canned.

use roma

Yeah. Its fine to use reg. instead of canned!

its fine to use regular
