How can I convince my parents to go all out for my 18th birthday party?!

Question: How can I convince my parents to go all out for my 18th birthday party?
I want to rent a place, and get a dj and catered food. How can I convince them its just as important as my 16th bday was?

Answers:

Get a job and pay for it yourself.

You sound like a spoiled brat.

So you aren't grateful that they threw you a big party for your 16th, you're mad that they won't do it again?

Really?

Since you are going to become an adult on your 18th birthday, how about starting to act like one by paying for your own party?

If you were my kid you'd not only get no party at all, you'd also get a kick out the door so that you can see how the real world works.

Tell them that soon you will be an adult (18) and " You " will pay for the party with" your" wages from the job" you" work at.How could they not go for that? Really, don't you get that this country is in a depression and that means people, including your parents don't have the money to spend on" I wants" like extravagant party's. You should.be grateful if you get cake and some presents.
