For my Sweet 16, i want to have a cinderella pool party, any ideas to make it more teenager-ish?:)?!

well the girls can obviously be all girly and fancy, the pool part with cinderella doesnt really match. i mean you can have some sparkly water balloons or pink waterguns or something with water toys if it has to involve water activity, but girls wont wanna be in a pool party with dresses and heels on they wanna look pretty. for guys just have some good food for them and a good dj and that should keep them entertained; my sweet 16 two years ago was fine for the guys they sat there and ate the whole night ahah

Princess parties are associated with dressing up, things that sparkle, lots of tulle, magic wands and such...and truthfully, I don't see how a pool party with swim suits and rowdy fun fits with this theme. Couldn't you switch to something more in keeping with the water thing? Like a beach theme/luau....or and Under the Sea party?

Either one has bright colors....gifts can be given out in beach pails (beachcomber's hat, suntan lotion, lip balms, eyeglasses, "Lifesaver" candies, key chains, beach towel or fun T-shirt.

Foods can be tropical....fruits, coconut, pineapple, nuts
BBQ hots or sliders or teriyaki chicken on a stick
Ambrosia salad, potato salad, deviled eggs
Chips, dips, cake, ice cream cake or cupcakes
Goldfish crackers....gummy fish

Punch...with or without sherbet ice cream in it....if using ice cubes, freeze edible flowers in the cubes for drinks or make an ice ring for the punch.

Beach music...lots of fun music to pick from (go back even to Beach Boys' tunes)

Make your own giant flip-flops from cardboard...use ribbons for the thong and gawdy flower at the toe..attach a strap behind and hang it on the fence or wherever you want.

...and if it makes you happy....stick up a picture of Ariel mixed in with the decorations. Can have colorful streamers and balloons....have some diving for rings games, noodle races.

ummm if your doing a princess party i would suggest girls only. This way you could all dress up and makeup and stuff. But most guys probably wont want to come to a princess party "dressed up". So you could make it like a costume party and you could be a princess:) Or since its a pool party you could tell everyone to wear their fav cartoon/tv show on their bathing suit:)

WOW ! sounds really cool that youre still into those things! (: You could make into a really stylish type of water prom ? That would be absolutly amazing! Tropical foods Beautiful dresses (like Cinderella!) / Beautiful swim wear type with the classy twist!/ under the stars but in water or around a pool party thing! To make it more of a teenager party dont make it a cinderella pool party unless your friends are 6-8 years old

just have a casino party in the corner :D
