I just came across this video & plan on making it for the weekend. It's a chocolate molten lava cake. It looks simple to make. everyone loves chocolate. Hope this helps.

for the kids i would do a homemade mac and cheese and for the adults i would do some pasta ala vodka sauce with chicken cutlets, or meatballs. you cant go wrong with pasta haha

You're doing a FULL dinner? I would do hors d'oeuvres in crock pots and on platters. So much easier.
