I need a recipe for a non spicy, non creamy curry?!

Question:

I need a recipe for a non spicy, non creamy curry?

I asked a friend to a curry night I'm having and have just realised that she's got this nasty illness that cripples her if she eats the wrong kinds of foods. Spice and dairy being two of the things she can't handle. I know that she would come and not eat anything because she loves me and wants to hang out with me. I feel so bad so PLEASE HELP ME!!! I can't change the menu because that would make her feel bad.

Answers:
Chicken Curry

1/2-1 kg boneless skinless chicken thighs or boneless skinless chicken breasts or skinless / boneless chicken tenderloins
1 large onion, finely chopped
4-5 cloves garlic (or to taste)
3-4 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons raw sugar
salt
2-3 tablespoons curry powder (mild to taste)
2-3 cups water
5-6 large potatoes, diced small,reduce heat,simmer approx 8 to 10 mins

heat oil in stockpot until smoking.
remove from heat and ADD sugar.
return to heat and caramelize to a golden.
ADD chicken to pot, brown stir, ADD onion, garlic, stir, lower heat, simmer approx 8-10 minutes.
ADD other ingredients, and potatoes.
mix curry powder with 2- 2 1/2 cups water, and ADD to pot.
Add more water so that liquid JUST covers ingredients.
turn heat to high.
when chicken cooked, and potatoes soft, mash down some of the potatoes to thicken sauce.
simmer for further 5 minutes.
serve hot in a bowl

Make her something Thai/Chinese food inspired then It won't look to out of place with all the curries... Sorry I don't have any recipes.

Korma is made from COCONUT milk so you could make her that.

Make a split pea dal soup and leave out the spice for her.

World Market sells a curry kit very cheap, they have a "hot" scale from 0 -10. I do not know of anywhere else to buy it, hope this helps.

Go to cook.com or just type in curry recipes in the yahoo tool bar. It has tons of recipes.Good luck and I hope everything turns out .

Your pretty limited , all curries have some spices. I'd cook another dish too (apart from curry), so she doesn't feel oblidged to eat your curry and spend the rest of the night in the loo.

Nonspicy curry?
Good luck with that.
And be sure to serve it with dry water.

you could make a chicken and mushroom curry without any currie just add blackbean sauce well it is chinese anyway. what you do is put some veg in withit and serve with either noodles and rice. perfect!!

You can make a yellow chicken curry with apples as the base. It'll come out sweet and not too hot if you don't overuse the curry powder. It requires coconut cream, but no dairy.

If you buy a vial of yellow curry powder, just follow the instructions, substituting apples for onions and halving the amount of powder. Yellow curry is not very spicy to start with.

dal? a lental curry? u could also do a tandori chicken which is chicken marnated in yogart but not in a sause so its just on the meat with tandori seasoning v nice or u could make some ongion bajhis?

Using as many of the same ingredients as possible, cook for your friend in a seperate pan, simply using a stock cube. Add herbs to season, you could also use some cocnut or soya milk to make the sauce more creamy. Add things like apples, and sultanas for interest. sorry, best I can come up with. hop it helps.

no such thing you are better of with tin of creamy mushroom soup.
