What restaurant should i go to for my birthday? (It's gonna be a small party. with my boyfriend and 3 friends)?!

Question: What restaurant should i go to for my birthday? (It's gonna be a small party. with my boyfriend and 3 friends)?
Ok so i am turning 17 next tuesday on the 15th and i can either throw this dinner party this saturday coming up or next saturday, the week of valentines day. so i dont know if i am allowed to bring cake to a restaurant cuz i dont know if that'd be a bit ridiculous but if i could i would bring a soy icecream cake. catered by somone else of course. i have 2 friends that are vegetarians that are coming and the other is a meat eater, and my boyfriend eats anything italian. and i love all kinds of food. just i dont know exactly if they would all enjoy the foods i like to eat. the restaurant also has to be in New york around manhattan or maybe long island. but anywho, it can't be that fancy and expensive either because my dad and mom would die if they had to pay a big major bill. and also i have a little sister who will also be going to it. so any good restaurants for birthdays? something cool and not too fancy, but not so cheap that it makes me seem poor O.O you know? since i didnt have cake or a party when i was 16, i want an actual cake this year. (: thanks for your answers, and dont judge me :3

I was going to say the melting pot, but that might be too expensive.
It's a fondue restaurant, so good for your veggie friends.
You can check out the prices online.
