What types of food should I serve for the main course of a B-day party?
Answers:
I think perhaps pizza.
hambugers and hot dogs, pizza and lots of finger foods
pizza , cake , chips , pop
is this an adult party or a childrens party?
a huge pot of chili and rice with all the dressings for adults
and, make your own tacos for a kids party.
Sushi! lol Just kidding i agree with want_me_love_me
Depends on what kind of Bday party if it's for a kid well you can serve spaghetti or hamburgers.
Lasagne. You can make the lasagne ahead of time and chill it until before the party. Your house will smell wonderful and it will go well with appetizers and a salad.
cake
if it's an adult party...get outside & have a bbq
Anything from soup to nuts can be served- depends on the type of party ( formal, semi-form, etc. ) the theme ( sports, space, over the hill, etc.) and the age of guests ( toddlers teens, etc.)
You can go hamburgers and hot dogs, maybe party sandwiches, BBQ, even casseroles or mac and cheese .
plan a party at a time of day where you dont have to serve a meal and then just put out finger foods. if its a kids party you can do little peanut butter in celery with raisins(ants on a log) all kinds of little playful things that are healthy but appealing to kid's.
Depends on the type of party. If it's casual, have a BBQ, or serve foods people can walk around easily with, like, for serving purposes. Sandwiches, pasta, etc. If it's formal than make a big meal and let the guest of honor decide.
get those huge sandwiches that are a few feet long, and have out some potato salad, pasta salad, that kind of stuff...totally don't cook ......and enjoy the party
It depends, is this a child's birthday (hot dogs, burgers, nachos, chips) or an adult party? Is it going to be a formal sit down dinner or something casual like a BBQ?
A pasta dinner is usually to everyone's liking, with salad on the side and some good red wine.
Can't go wrong with Chicken and potato wedges!!!
If you know the honoree's favorite restaurant, it would be a wonderful gesture to have them cater the party.
You'll be appreciated and remembered -- and best of all, won't have to do any of the cooking!
