Question: Ive already asked this twice and i keep getting gay answers so pleaseeee help a girl out?
so im gonna have my sweet 16 around the end of april/beginning of may and i have no freaking clue what to do. my mom said that she would rent a place and let me throw a legit party as in a 'lets get freaky bitches' kinda party but then she decided it would be too expensive (she said it would probably come to about 1000, which seems like A LOT) sooo...how much do you think it would cost and do you think that's too much? Also, i have couple close guy friends and the rest are more just people who are in my "group" at school, so i feel like it might be awkward inviting them and i def dont want an all girls partay like that, so what do you think?
Do you have any other options or ideas? something relatively small (10-15) people maybe i guess (i dont really know what goes on in my mothers head) Parties that ive had in the past probably cost around 250 and since this is a big un' i feel like she might go a tad higher, but yeah...just any ideas that would be fun and not insanely pricey. I know this is a tad long, so thanks for reading!

I think how much your mom spends depends on how well off y'all are. times are tough and all that Jazz. however, $300-$500 seems like a reasonable amount to me for a sweet 16. my brother just had his and my Dad cleaned out their (huge) garage, rented a big stereo system, hung up black tarps, and went the whole "rave" direction. they had disco balls, black lights, one of those color strobes- all rented fairly cheap from a party store and Rent-a-center. they have 2 futons that they brought out for seating, but you could rent folding chairs for cheap. get some glow sticks, neon clothes, candy necklaces, binkies, and rave it up. minus the X and other drugs. you can also make glow in the dark punch by combining light (lime, lemon, strawberry kiwi) with 1 c sugar and a 2-liter of 7-up, then add some glowsticks. walmart has a punch dispenser that you put ice in the bottom and punch in the top with a spigot dispenser. you could put glowsticks in with the ice. dang, can I be invited? lol

Have a disco rollerskating party!!
1) Find a roller dome
2) Rent it
3) Hook up an ipod with some disco music
4) Hang a disco ball from the ceiling
5) Dim the lights
6) Get everyone to wear short shorts, sequins other fun-slut disco gear

and in between laps get smashed off a mickey in the bathroom

= good, clean, sweet 16 fun

my longing to revisit my youth

First of all, I'm not sure if it's warm where you are, but I think it would be a lot of fun to have a slip-n-slide party. You could have all kinds of water games, water balloons, slip-n-slides (or even large tarps). You could cook out and have a hawiian theme. Guys could some.. girls too. You may want a big crowd for this kind of party. Then have a sleep over.

If you have real friends they should know it's time to party and one of them should volunteer and set up a party and their house then party till u drop and sleep over you know do your thing teeny lol

Me

What do your friends do for their 16th bdays? I went to the movies and had a slumber party and pizza and told ghost stories and talked about boys for hours. Didn't cost hardly anything.

You're asking people to plan a party for you. Maybe you have been getting "gay" answers because you're asking a "gay" question.

i cant even read this it is so bad.

first off dont have the question as something is "gay" you sound like a ******* stupid teen stuck up idiot...oh wait.....

go to a strip club

ok well for my sweet 16th i had like 10 or so friends and it was a pink themed party, so everyone dressed up in pink, we just had a nice meal at home and then i surprised my friends with a limo which i hired. we had a fab time just dancing and playing sing star and it was not too expensive. instead if having a color themed party have something else like a letter or a movie or TV show

Why not have a hotel party. Ask your mom to rent you a room that has 2 beds and like a fride and oven.
Its like 130 spend the other money on some decorations, some munchies like pizza chips and sodas, and a couple illegal beverages if your into that kinda thing.
Just make sure no one drives home that has been drinking and don't be too loud and have the fuzz called on you.
That's what I did for my 16th we did it at the residence inn

I don't know, not getting much information on your end. Sounds to me like you need a place to have the party for one and if you don't have a basement or your parents are not willing to let you use there house then you'll have to rent something, maybe you could rent a doulbe room at a nice Hotel, its 2 rooms but opens into one, called connecting rooms I think. You can decorate have your girlfriends bring there clothes spend the night, take goodies and have a stero just keep the noise down so you don't get your parents in trouble. Your parents can call at anytime and check on you guys or even rent another room if thats what makes them feel more comfortable, maybe the hotel has a pool, you can go swimming in the heated pool, inside pool maybe. There's alot of different things you can do use your imagination, get your bff's together and plan something great maybe one of your friends will let you use her house, let her plan it and your mom pay. GOOD LUCK & HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Have a basement? Or a friend. If you dont have a basement, borrow a friends, offer to pay to "rent it". Make sure it's fairly big. You can decorate, gets some cool *** speakers and a mix, or even a dj. Have some food, some stuff you guys can do, competitions? BIG cake. You can make it soo chill, that's what my friend Maggie did and everyone loved it because most girls just go over and beyond, which usually screws your night up. Heck if you want even have some drinks and mixes. You guys can just hang out, dance, play games, maybe some beer pong? *nugde nudge* So fun! (: Anyways have a blast, I know that in a few months mine will be too!
