well im 16 and when i went to my best friends party of roughly 20 ppl, we played the wii in 1room and she had music on in the other and in the kitchen some snacks out. it really depends on the ppl you invite to the party.
you could also watch movies and hold contests like get a prize when someone draws the best or play pic-tionary.
my experience
At 15 years of age, our parties always had music. In those days, it was 33's. Now, it's MP3 or CD.
Make sure there is a lot of music. Make a space for some impromptu dancing!
Set up ping-pong or table tennis.
There is a great get to know everyone game. Give each a piece of paper and a pencil. Each has to make a list of the people at the party, in the order they met the birthday person. The birthday person gets to pick the list that is most correct. Have a gag prize to hand over.
Serve lots of drinks. Dancing makes everyone thirsty.
Have a good spread of finger foods, not too fancy.
My best memory from those days was a make it yourself pizza party. They had the dough made up into individual pizzas. They provided the sauce, cheese, and a variety of toppings. Everyone made up his or her own, and baked it. Since they were small, four people could bake their pizzas together.
Have fun. Be safe.
Well when i was that age we used to do scavanger hunts it sounds corny but is fun as hell and gets major competive. what you do is make a list of odd things then make teams of two or three and then the first one to find everything wins and you could get like a gift certificate as the winning prize. its more fun if you make a list of a bunch of stuff set a time limit and then walk around your neighborhood and u can get only one thing from each person or house. Its a good way to keep your parents from making it ahkward or embarrising.
