Everything on TV is fake because no one wants to see things in ordinary life. That's why Martha Stewart, Oprah Winfrey, and countless other shows that seem to good to be real are so popular. Most people are striving for something better and if they don't have it they want to see it on tv and emulate it.

Films created during the Great Depression always had main characters that were rich and lived a lavish lifestyle. People of that time enjoyed these films because it took them away from there poor drab lives for a little while.

It seems that she lives near the gay community where affection is accepted.
Her husband is very supportive of her and she is of him......that's what makes them work.
I'm sure if they didn't like something - they'd edit it out.
but she lends a simple approach to entertaining and cooking.
I like her style - she introduces new techniques to everyday comfort foods and entertaining.
Simplicity.
Try watching the Neely's and Paula Dean - I'm sure there will be opinions there too.
It's all about the food and recipes - regardless who presented them
Just my opinion

We have been following Ina Garten ever since she started on the Food Network. We have never noted any of the characteristics you mention. In our own opinion we think that she is the best and most interesting.

I agree, I absolutely loathe her and refuse to watch any of her shows. I don't know why they show it in the UK as I know of no-one here who likes her.

She always kisses her male friends on the mouth.... gross
