In California it's 18 inches no matter what weight.

i taught strippers were kept by size, i was in south Boston a couple of years ago and the min size was 12 inches,
think it applied to other things too,hence i,m back in Dublin!!!!

Not only is every state different, but every lake is different. It usually averages 16-18". An 18" fish will usually weigh around 3 pounds, give or take a few ounces.
