Have you tried IKEA? I got beautiful cooking/eating utensils for my daughter when she was young, not only were they really affordable, they were of genuine materials--porcelain dishes, stainless steel utensils/cookware, etc. They won't be all dolled up pink & sparkly, they will look like the real thing 1/4 scale or so.

If you have a "Chinatown" area near you, your other option might be checking out one of the general merchandise stores there, either in the toy section or cooking section. I've seen sets of miniature tea sets at these stores, again really inexpensive (& very much smaller than above suggestion as well as pink, flowered, etc)

try pier 1 imports,they also have a website you can order online on clearance or sale.

Bed bath and beyond should have some , if not hit up macys and see if they have anything on sale.
