asking money for party?!

Question: Asking money for party?
if I want to reserve a party space for a bunch of kids--not a birthday--can i ask for 'admission fee' of $5 per person for entrance + pizza? or do i have to host because I organized?

Very bad manners to invite people and then ask them to pay.
Buy pizza's and cook them at home.

It depends how you word your invitation really...

If it's a 'get together' for half term for instance, then you could say to the other mums 'I was thinking it would be good to meet during the holidays and let the kids get together. It would cost about $5 for the entrance and food - what do you think? Would you be interested in coming?'

It's only like arranging a lunch with your girlfriends that way - not a birthday.

Hope that helps.

It's your party and your responsibility. Your kids have probably gone to parties where the parents have had to pay to host the event. If you can't afford the money, host the party at home and make your own pizza. You can always ask other parents to come and lend a hand...not money.

$5 is not alot of money, they wont mind, and if you talk to all the mums about it im sure they'll want to pitch in for their kids! but it depends on the type of people they are.

It's your party, there's no way i'd have the shame to ask

With kids, yours will have gone to other parties - it's swings and round-a-bouts

NO...do not ask! Either pay or move to Kalamazoo! As for hosting...yes it's your responsibility.
My choice: by the nature of your asking this question, forget it!

depends on how much it cost, and how much you have to spend. don't break your bank.
