Check out somewhere like Party City or the dollar store. They often have big bags of either party favors or toys that will be either reptiles or lizards. I'm sure you can find some gummy candy bugs to either decorate your cake or table (since reptiles and such eat bugs).

Well you MUST do these cupcakes, lol:
chocolate cupcakes, with either green or chocolate frosting. Top with crumbled oreos and stick in a gummy worm or any other gummy critter you can find. You can also set up the 'ingredients' and let the kids assemble their "mudcakes" before eating--craft and cake all in one.

If you are having a difficult time finding table cloths, napkins etc with the reptile theme, I'd go with simple green ones or look at the Hawaiian/tropical section and get stuff with palm fronds etc Another craft idea would be to have the kids add reptiles (drawn or made from paper or craft materials & glued on) to the decor, especially if you've found a palm tree thingie from the party store,
If you can find plastic insects in the toy store or at party store to decorate with, that would be good too---nice and gross and important part of the happy lizard's diet.

Finally, ask the reptile show people for ideas. I'm sure they've been at a few parties and may have seen some clever ideas to give you.

Here's an idea how to use cucumber slices to make a "Snake Snack" with dip:

Here's how to make a Snake Cake:

EDITED to fix link...
Food: Green Gatorade, Snake Sandwich (small submarine sandwiches arranged like a snake with olive eyes and red pepper tongue), Ants on a Log (celery sticks with peanut butter and raisins)

Here's a page with clever snake crafts (from bottle caps to ribbons) and snake games:

Examples : Sidewinder Jump>>Cowpokes need lightning-quick reflexes to avoid the "bite" of this deadly rattler in this jumping game.

Reptillian Roundup>>The object of this scavenger hunt is to round up as many plastic reptiles as possible.

As far as decor goes: create a jungle feel to your party area....hang green twisted crepe streamers like vines all drooped and draped around, high to low. Bunches of balloons in different greens put together at different heights and weighted down by a rock covered in tissue paper=green=give the illusion of tall, tropical plants. Hang up toy monkeys amidst the "vines"....use some browns, too.

Try searching "Whats New, Cupcake" or other books like that on Google. There are some really cute cupcakes you can try to make in their books.
