Need help with Scenarios- Service Slipups?????/?!
For each Scenario, identify two service slipups for each scenario and list the steps you would take to prevent the problem from happening again.
A group of customers has stood waiting at the entrance of a full-service operation for 10 minutes. Several employees have passed them, but no one has greeted them. Finally, the hostess comes out of the kitchen, hands another customers several paper bags, and without apology, seats the group.

Service Slipup 1: Employees passed the group, but didn't greet them.
Steps I would take to correct this from happening: Explain to your employees that service is very important, and if they notice a group at the front that is not being greeted, greet them and point out to the hostess that they are there and waiting.
Service Slipup 2: Hostess did not apologize.
Steps I would take to correct this from happening: Explain to the hostess that service is very important, and if he/she makes a group wait for too long, he/she should apologize, and then seat the group.
