Could you help me with my party?!

Question: Could you help me with my party?
I want to have a 50's theme end of the school year party. There are several things that I'm wondering about:

The last day of school is June 10. That's on a Friday, but some of my friends like to go on vacation right after school or the day after. When should I have it?

How many people should I invite? It's going to be a bunch of high school freshman girls.

Should I even have the party? I've thought about not doing it because it might be hard to get people to come. I also have thought of inviting everybody, then not getting anything until, let's say, 3 people say they'll come.

Answers:

Plan it before vacation time...but not when everyone has to cram for exams (check with friends and your parents as to best day). Send out invites well in advance so girls can get their 50's attire together...in the meantime, you have all this time to shop for bargains to decorate your party (hang old record albums...45's mostly if you can find them). Get lots of Coca-Cola posters and gadgets, glasses. Make it a Sock Hop. Get together great 50's music playlist.

Hang up poster of James Dean....vintage cars...movie posters
Jeans were called "dungarees" (there was a song called "Dungaree Doll")
Serve milkshakes, malts, and sodas (pop and ice cream)

Well..if you really want to have one, then maybe you should plan it like a week before school is actually out, and that way, even if some people are going on a vacation, it'll be the week after that. But if i were you, i wold deff have a party and chill before schools out!

Well, maybe have it on June 3rd or 4th.
Invite around 20 people if you can handle that many.
People would come if you had invitations and if they know you that well.
