Is it trashy to grocery shop barefooted?!

Question:

Is it trashy to grocery shop barefooted?

i see people doing it, and i started doing it too...

Answers:
Don't you see the "No shoes, no shirt, no service" signs? I wouldn't characterize it as "trashy." Unwise, perhaps. Also, I met a girl at an auction who was barefoot, and I asked her, "Don't you see all those old guys spitting on the ground? How can you stand walking in their sputum?" She turned green.

i would think most stores wouldnt let you in.

i think its a bit un-hygenic, who knows whats on those floors!

Yes it is very trashy

Oh! what should you do??

ask Britney Spears....Oh yeah, she is trailer trashy!!!!!!!

no, just nasty; u never know what's been on the ground.

No question about it. Yes.

It's ok as long as you are going to Wal-Mart.

Going anywhere in public without shoes is trashy, with the obvious exception of the beach, swimming pools, etc.....

Yes. Disgusting.

yes hurt theri feet

britney spears wannabe

I don't want to see anyone's nasty feet, especially in a place where I buy food.

I was raised in the south in the middle of no where. I stayed barefoot during the summers around my house. But, if we went ANYWHERE I put my shoes on...

it is illegal. The store could be fined

yes at least wear sandals

I didn't believe you could go into a store without shoes. I don't think it is so trashy but I do think it is unsafe.

I quite like the idea of doing it, it makes your day different! But some people find it unhygienic etc..

Are you deperate for attention ?
Do you think you are being cute ?

Do what ever you want. This is a free country. Freedom of Expression. You have the right bare arms and a right to bare feet. Just do what ever you're comfortable.

First of all, yes, if only because seriously, how hard is it to put on a pair of flip-flops? You'll give off the impression that you have no sense of taste or propriety. Secondly, there might be germs on the floor, glass, and other things; I recall finding a box-cutting razor on the floor of the grocery store when I was a kid! Don't think of it as cramping your style, so much as a safety precaution. After all, the store could be liable for anything that happens to your toesies, and are therefore most likely going to enforce the "no shoes, no service" rule.

It's a bit unhygenic!

Yes and disrespectful to the other shoppers.

Hell yeah. There are too many germs on the floors at supermarkets.

It makes people think you are homeless.

that's just a little bit nasty

There are people in your community who do not have the ability to walk and must use a wheelchair for mobility yet despite their situation, THEY PUT SHOES ON EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY GO TO THE GROCERY STORE, EVEN THOUGH THE SOLES OF THEIR SHOES WILL NEVER TOUCH THE GROUND.
Want to be a tough-guy-rebel for real? Get out of the U.S. and go grocery shopping barefoot on the streets of Mumbai, India. And by the way, it's obvious that your parents pushed you to be the best at whatever you want to do, so yes you are really good at being a poor specimen of humanity.

Very trailor trash in fact!

Not so much trashy as plain lacking in hygiene. You don't know what youre stepping on. I think you should love your feet more, and put shoes on them when you go shopping or any activity like that. Walk barefoot at home, its a more controlled environment.

It's unsanitary and unsafe.

Yes thats foul..Do u have any idea who who or what has been on that floor? I rather lick a toilet seat! :)
