Savannah moniter drinking?!

I have a 3' 10" sm. He eats fine and i usally just give him water, but today i diddnt open the door and he didnt get much sun till 2 pm. I then fed him meat, fish, and a little egg, but i hung around to watch him eat the fish. They swam in the bowl till he ate em all. But he didnt drink! This is the first time i saw him not drink. I nudged him with the bowl, letting him know there waz watta but he didnt drink. I replaced the bowl wata and still didnt drink. Wut do i do?
