Answers:
work with the season - like if christmas go with red and greens
new years - gold and silver
halloween black and orange (hope not)

and then work with the season, pick things that are available during that time so your prices are in line and you stay on budget you should talk to caterers for ideas and cash in on whatever free or attached (nearby) entertainme t is available example
if you are marrying at christmas time, use pageants and choirs to your advantage - see? for food yorkshire pudding cooked goose roast root veggies are foods of the season btw best wishes - oh and a christmas cake nothing like a fruit cake very good and unique made with marzipan and lots and lots of brandy dried fruit have fun above all

Well, you can make cute christmas cookies, put up a large tree in the reception hall, have christmas carols, etc.

well it would all depend on which holiday.

I got married in January. My colour scheme was a deep red and silver. My cake had snowflakes on it and my flower girl threw snowflakes instead of confetti or rose petals. I wanted sno globes as gift favours but they were hard to find so we went with my husbands idea, which was a real hit, we gave away little cedar trees. They came in their own little box. They were very inexpensive and fitting for that time of year. I also had red berries in my bouquet and wore a cape around my dress with maribou trim. It was absolutely beautiful.

a wedding with a big beautiful christmas tree would be terrific. decorated with deep reds and forest greens with touches of gold would be stunning. a bride in soft white with a tight bouqet of deep red roses would look great. pictures against a snow white backround outside and christmas magic inside, yum!

dont bother ur goin2 get divorced very quickly ill bet my life on that stick to simple registry office in an old pair of clothes

FOOD
Oriental style
ATTIRE
naked
DECORATIONS

ENTERTAINING

christmas scene...color gold...and green and reds and white lights...in christmas trees...make it like a christmas wonderland..candy canes and an orchestra of violins and playing before the wedding for the people coming in...So then you can go from there..good luck...

well it really depends on your idea of the holidays. if you're thinking Christmas - what thrills you most about that holiday? everyone would be expecting red & green -- passe! do white, silver and ice blue - turn it into a winter wonderland.

food -- please, please, please don't try to theme your wedding food around a holiday - except maybe for some of the desserts. your food should be first and foremost - something everyone will enjoy!

depending on your holiday though -- find out with your finacee what you both enjoy most about the holiday. if it's the family traditions - play off those. if it's the fanfare of the season - play off those -- but NOT in the normal way everyone thinks.
this is your wedding NOT the holiday you are celebrating.

mainly - think outside the box!!

but one fun thing for a Christmas wedding -- as everyone to bring an ornament or decoration for your home -- unless you already have a ton.

Actually, I am planing a wedding around Halloween. This way our guest can come to a themed reception (costumes contest, games and etc.) after the ceremony.
It also depends on the Holiday. Sometimes it can be harder to get reservations because its a Holiday or they charge you more.

Let us know which holiday you wish to plan a wedding around.
