Sounds like a Hollywood Glam party....roll out the red carpet.
Create a "Stage" area...hang sheers up with twinkle lights behind so guests can perform--let them know ahead of time so they can think of an act to do: magic? sing? dance? tell jokes?
Make silver(or gold if you prefer) glitter stars with their names on them to hang up on a wall or from ceiling...include a pic of others if you can. Get tons of balloons and spray glitter them, too for visual effect...sparkle ribbons hanging from them.
Play a game where there are 2 teams and each team has "props" to use: they have 10 min or so to put together a skit using those props. Can also do Charades (famous people , movies, singers)
Have a relative walk around snapping photos of everyone...you can later give them a pic after the party or before they leave if you're able to.
Give away "Glam Bags"....put together some favorite girly things in a bag (line with fancy tissue paper first): lip balm, lotion, sparkle headband, friendship bracelet, gold coin candies, anything star-shaped or glitzy you can find in a dollar store---Avon has good sample size lotion products for 99cents, too.
Can also decorate with those metallic curtains from party store to give some shimmer to the background.
Centerpiece for table>>large glass container vase...tint water a color...float a tea light...wrap a pretty mask around it gluing a rubber band to mask to make it fit snugly---decorate mask with large feather plumes behind left corner of mask (while looking at it)...punch a hole in upper left side of mask, too and push pretty ribbons through it...have jewels on mask or pearls or glitter>>make it sparkle!! Candlelight will shine through the "eyes" on the mask. (You can make your own form with felt if you can't find a form to use)...but party stores usually have some.
Fan your pretty napkins out on the table.
Set the table of food up with white linen cloth (can use a remnant from fabric store --check clearance section)...put a striking color table runner down the length of it. Set out foods on pretty trays (fake silver ones at party store)....give foods names as if it was part of the Oscars>>>

You could have a Hollywood Theme birthday party. You could have a red carpet leading up to your door and all the guests could wear fancy dresses. For dinner and dessert, have fancy foods. To drink you could have a big punch bowl. After dinner you could have a singing, skit or modeling competiton. A few of the guests would be judges and the rest would be contestants. For decorations, you could have stars on the floor with everyone's names on them and gold and silver tinsel around the house.
Another idea is to have an American Idol themed birthday party. You could decorate your house with American Idol decorations (which you can find at a lot of party stores). While eating dinner, you could watch reruns of American Idol. There might even be a "Best of American Idol" DVD that you could get. After dinner, you can have your own American Idol singing competition. Three of the guests could be judges, or the judges could be parents, siblings, etc. At the end of the competition, the winners would recieve prizes.
Hope this helps! Have a good weekend(:
