Question:

What food or diet can make me help to put on weight?

i am quite skinny and i want to put on some weight!
any diet ,not much of junk food ,but healthier!!!

Answers:
you need to increase your calorie intake ..........

nuts are great especially almond and brasils, they are high in protein and fat and are also full of nutrients. take them with you when you go out to snack on.

Bananas are good, easy to obtain and again you can take the out with you.

when you have cereal add alittle cream with the milk.

milk puddings such as rice pudding or custard are good too and you can get them in pots to take to work.

Add alittle oil or butter to rice or pasta. Not too much we dont want you to get cholestrol!!!!!

eat lots of starch carbs such as rice, potatoes and pasta. they are good for you but can help you gain weight too

try to have supper......you wont be as active in the evening and therfore wont burn off the calories as fast

you can buy milkshakes such as complan and build up which provide about a extra small meal worth of calories

remember to NOT eat too much fried food because of the negative health implications.

Pies!!

Seriously though, there are plenty of health shakes available that you can use in addition to your normal diet. If you combine this with doing some weights at the gym you should start getting bulking up.
You'll also find that eating loads of carbohudrate rich food helps. Pasta is one example of carb rich food.

Lots of carbs

eat much oil food

A diet rich in protein and complex carbohydrates (such as grains and nuts) plus some sensible exercise will help build muscle. Simply eating loads of fatty and sugary stuff will just make you flabby.

If what you mean by weight is muscle, then you need to eat a good amount of protein and exercise consistently for a prolonged period of time.

If what you mean by weight is fat:
Why would anyone want to have excess fat? Capillaries are the tiny tubes that carry blood directly to the cells all over your body, in between your arteries and veins. One pound of fat contains roughly a mile worth of capillaries; imagine what that does to your blood pressure. It is very unhealthy; keep your metabolism going while you can!

There are lots of mass gainer protein supplements you can take that include lots of calories intended to help you gain weight. These are far healthier than junk food, as they are actually "nutritious". Look for products using Malodextrin as a source of carbs, which is a more steadily-releasing sustained carb than sugary sweet (and bad for you) sucrose, glucose, etc so you don't get that sugar rush followed by an energy crash. You can increase your calories significantly with these specialized types of protein powders, as they are intended even for big bodybuilders looking to bulk up and gain quick mass. One suggestion is to try several brands of mass gainers, since some are quite thick and you might find them hard to swallow. If you are working our regularly, you might instead try micellar protein powders that specialize more in "lean mass" like Muscle Milk. Look for "micellar" in the product description. These products are higher in fat yet contain ingredients that help you stay more cut and not as blobby as long as you are working out. If not working out, the micellar proteins will make you gain weight though. You can get either the mass gainer proteins or the micellar proteins at your local sports nutrition store (ie: GNC).

anything starchy and sodas

Starchy foods like potatoes and breads help you gain weight. Try pizza on occasion. Also there are lots of recipes that you can find on the internet that use potatoes.

believe, i was once very skinny too, and felt like u do, ate anything to put on AND keep a pound... now i don't have that problem.. i want to LOOSE my weight...it is much harder then to put it on...

try avocados and banana..... or dried fruit....
