Question: What are some cold, inexpensive and easy appetizers for pot luck birthday party for adults.?
going to a pot luck bday party and need cold, inexpensive and easy appetizers.

no hot food.

there will be about 40 adults.

want something different for a change b/c we have these parties once a month and the same food shows up.

we already have the following which is boring to me but i can't tell people not to bring it:

spinach dip
salsa & chips
hummus & veggies
cheese & crackers
fruit & dip
shrimp cocktail
7 layer dip & chips
diet soda cake (i'm making that)

Answers:

Ham & Cheese wraps;

Flour tortillas
Sliced deli ham
Cheese (any kind you like)
Mayonnaise or Miracle whip
Lettuce (if you like)

Spread mayo on the tortillas, add the other ingredients, roll them up, cut in half. Simple, and enjoy.

Tell them to bring walnuts and semi-dried dates. You supply the mascapone creamcheese.
Pit and halve a date, spread on some mascapone and stick on half a walnut.
It tastes so incredibly delicious. It's also pretty healthy.

Jalapeno Poppers:

Half and seed as many jalapenos as you would like.

Fill half sections with cream cheese and wrap in bacon(hold in place with toothpick).

Bake in oven until bacon is browned and crispy!

Serve either hot or cold

Family Favorite :)

Cold pasta & tuna or ham salad, with bacon bits mixed in.
Savory cucumber salad, Now the recipie I have takes 2 days to prepare.

Hope this was some help.?

Had to do this also.

SUSHI!!!!!!

Wash and cut celery into 3-4" pieces, spread peanut butter into the recessed area. Or, this is rather good, served with crackers or baquette slices

Tuscan White Bean Salad with Tuna

1-16 ounce can white beans, any variety, drained well
? cup finely chopped onion, any variety
1-6 ounce can tuna packed in water, drained well
? - 1 cup chopped fresh parsley
1-2 Tbls olive oil – or to taste
Salt and pepper to taste

1. Rinse drained beans gradually under warm water
2. Place drained tuna in a bowl, break into chunks, stirring in just a little olive oil for flavor
3. Combine tuna, beans, onion, parsley in a bowl, adding olive oil and mixing well (don’t be afraid to crush some of the beans)
4. Salt and pepper to taste (see notes below)

? This salad benefits from liberal amount of freshly ground black pepper
? Salt enhances the flavor of the oil, but there is salt in the tuna, so be cautious
? Vary the amounts of the ingredients to suit your taste
? Can be served on toasted baguette slices, or stuffed into Pita bread with lettuce and tomato.
