Answers:

Since you're all young teens and probably into fashion....have a "Famous Fad Party">>>guests must come dressed or holding some famous fad idea from the past (any era counts)...
Activities include: having a timed story about that particular fad (2 min or so)

Also: have guests bring a wrapped gift--not labeled or tell anyone what it is. Gift can be anything:
Around the house - An item you find around your house

Home baked/ made

"Shove under" - A gift that you would want to shove under your bed

Rooms of the house - In their invitation, everyone is assigned to a room and they have to get gifts that would go in those rooms.

Gag gifts

Something you once owned

Rules: 1. Everyone brings an inexpensive gift to the party. The gifts can follow a theme (theme examples are above).

2. All gifts should be wrapped with no outside markings. You shouldn't know who the gifts are from, what they are or who they are for.

3. Everyone puts their gift in a pile.

4. Everyone draws a number (1 to however many people are playing)

5. Number 1 goes first, picks and unwraps a gift.

6. Number 2 can pick another gift or "steal" an unwrapped gift. If an unwrapped gift is "stolen," the person it is stolen from can then "steal" or pick a wrapped gift.

7. The next person's turn occurs after a wrapped gift is open.

8. The game ends when all gifts are unwrapped.
Rules
All of these rules are optional but should be decided on before the game starts.

1. A gift can not be "stolen" more than twice. So whoever steals it second gets the gift.

2. A gift can not be immediately stolen back by the person it was stolen from.

3. All gifts must be kept in plain sight.Tip: If there is a gift you want, wait to steal it. If you are the second person to steal it, you get to keep it.

Play Magazine Scavenger Hunt>>get tons on old magazines...give girls lists of things to find or phrases or words to find having to do with fashion. They can search and write down page # or if you're willing, cut them out (but you'd need scissors for everyone and permission to take apart the mags).

You yourself amongst your decorations of balloons and such, find and print pics of different fads to hang around the room...string along a line using clips...decorate with ribbons hanging between them. Fads can be anything from hair to feet....if it's a certain prop..they can bring that, too.

Have party foods....cut out cookies or breads in shapes of shirts and other fun designs....create your own design when decorating them...or serve fillings between 2 slices (egg salad, tuna, chicken salad, etc). Can even add foods that were once a fad, too with the rest of the party food.

Game: have piles of clothes, accessories, purses, jewelry, socks, etc....then time each girl 30 sec or so and see how many "things" she can put on in that time limit...one who wears most, wins. (If 30 too long..shorten the time).

Make a fun "fad craft"...since Flip-flops were all the rage...get some things to design your own together (provide lace, fun fur to line them (like zebra or hot neon colors), beads, flowers, craft glue, hot glue, ribbons, etc) as their take home gift.

My daughter is having her 14th birthday party and has decided on a murder mystery themed party. We downloaded a kit off of the internet and each of her friends is a different character. I will be passing out clues throughout the night and they will then try to solve the mystery. They will also be playing other games and eating plenty of good food during the mystery game.

Get a 50-piece bucket of KFC extra crispy. It'll be like a party in your mouth, and EVERYONE's invited! As for the actual activities... eh... whatever. Watch tv or something.

beh play truth or dare
