Question: Highschool junior throwing party for the first time!!! help!!!?
im a highschool junior and my parents are going out of town for a few days. i want to throw a party and my friends want me to do it too. one of my friends is a girl and she said she would bring some girls that she knew and i dont know. there would be about 8 guys and girls... i dont know what to do or what to buy or what to do with the alcohol and how to get it. i need some help on how to prepare and what to do so the people would have a good time. i need help with preparation, music and anything else that can help me.. i think some of the people like to smoke weed too so i need help on what to do... please help!! thanks

The smart thing to do would be, first of all, no alcohol or drugs. You can certainly have a fun (and memorable!) time without them. Not getting in trouble and not having someone get hurt would equal not having a party ruined, guaranteed.

Get some of your favorite and friend's favorite music. Maybe a snack table, too. Find activities that you could have to prevent boredom-- movie, etc... Make sure any breakables are not really in the way-- I can only think of the scene from Mean Girls when the guys are playing with the mom's african vase...

And have a good time!!
