Thinking really hard to go back to my childhood and remember some birthday parties I went to...
I think you should do the activities and games first for an hour, have lunch in the 12:00 hour (they can play some more when they have finished eating), then at 1:00 do the cake. Then have your daughter open her presents when she is done with her cake, and everyone can watch her. Hope everything goes well, and everyone has fun!
Cut the cake about a half hour after lunch is served. Do makeovers when all guests arrive..greet them first.
Play game or two after makeover until lunchtime (this way they work up an appetite)
Lunch at noon...cake 1/2 hr, 45 min whatever.. after that = in between do the craft
Open gifts --then hand out party bags...they leave...if gifts don't take that long, save a game for this time that's not too wild. (I don't know how many kids you're inviting).
Don't fret...play it by ear with "kind of" a plan.
It is your party so you can set whatever schedule you want....there are no rules on when you have to do particular activities....but if you want a guideline:
Do the makeovers first, then have lunch.
Right after lunch, play a couple of quick games....then do the cake. Open the gifts after that.
The cake is usually cut before the gifts are open, which is toward the end of the party. Favours are given on the way out.
