Is 1 pound of lemon sweeter then 1 pound of strawberries?!
Is 1 pound of lemon sweeter then 1 pound of strawberries?
David Brent said that in THE OFFICE if any of you seen it? The Christmas Specials...
Answers:
No, strawberries are sweeter.
I WOULDN'T' THINK LEMONS WOULD BE SWEETER THAN STRAWBERRIES. STRAWBERRIES AREN'T SOUR LIKE LEMONS.
The following information is for one lemon. That would be about 2-3/8" diameter, or 84 grams. This general information is for any variety of raw lemon without the peel.
Lemons Sugars: 2.10 g
The following information is for one serving of strawberries. That would be about one cup of strawberry halves, or 152 grams. This general information is for any variety of raw strawberries.
Strawberries Sugars: 7.08 g
in summery 168g of lemons have 4.20g suger to 152g of strawberries taht have 7.08g
Strawberries are still sweeter no mate how you slice em!
Taste wise no; strawberries provoke the sweet part of my tongue whereas lemons provoke the sour. If strawberries aren't ripe enough they can sometimes taste on the sour side and maybe this is true for lemons, before maturity they taste sweet. (Never tried it.) However, given this information was taken from the Office I would assume it is a joke or some reference to the show, or sarcasism or a punch line. I'm not sure. Maybe he meant "sweeter" in the sense of "Sweet! I have a pound of lemons! I can make lemonade! What can you do with a pound of strawberries? Jam? Who really eats jam anymore?" Or maybe it is refererring to the phrase, "The sweet ain't as sweet until you've experienced the bitter (or sour)." You know, bitter-sweet? I'm completely stretching here because I don't really have an intelligent answer to your question. I just love Steve Carell.
i dont think so because lemons are really bitter!
i would personally go for a pound of strawberries myself!!!
Lemons are sour!!!
I'm gunna have to go with no on this one....strawberry's are pretty sweet as it is.
