I'd shave them first and if they're not steamed by then, I'd throw them in a pot. A shampoo probably wouldn't hurt, either, but is entirely optional.
Open them and eat them as is!
Either foreplay, or fiveplay, using all fingers of one hand, to extract juice.
First check if it is wet enough. If it isn't, then it is best to lick it until it begins to open up. Once the clam is partly opened it is best to finish prying it open with a sea cucumber. You will know it is fully prepared when the clam stops pulsing.
