What do I need to do to get a bartender's license?
Answers:
Technically you do not need a bartender's license. You need to be certified by the TABC. (Tobacco Alcohol Board of Commision)
You got to a 4 hour class pay $20 and get a license that makes it legal for you to serve/sell tobacco/alcohol.
You can find bartending classes (normally 6-8 weeks in length and prices normally start at $300). You will have to be 21 to go to the classes, but you only need to be 18 to be TABC certified and most employees only require the certification.
Your best bet is to call your local county courthouse and ask where to find the class. You could also ask other bartenders.
Hope this helps!!

Your state will probably have a business section on their government web pages. It'll have links to starting a business and aquiring a sales tax id and liquor licenses. Check if there's a new business packet you can order.
Not being an alcoholic would help!
Call the department where food handlers licenses are issued. Or call a bartending school in your area.
Go to school for it
i live in west Virginia and you don't need a license here to be a bartender, never even heard of that before. if you are talking about a liquor license to sell it in a bar that you own then you need to contact a lawyer to fill for an ABC(alcohol beverage control) license.
