Halloween Party Snacks?!

Question:

Halloween Party Snacks?

Okay, Well on the day before halloween me and my 13 year old friend are gonna hold a halloween party (because the next day would be too difficult since we all go trick or treating), Im 16 and i cant cook meat of any kind-apart from things for the microwave-, but i can make simple snacks and cook on hobs.

There are only gonna be around 14-18 of our friends there, so we only need simple things that would only take 10 minutes or less to make in the kitchen.

All suggestions would be happily appreciated :)

and also, Any ideas for creative drinks, Ya know, something that could have nice extras put into it to be very halloween-ish.

Hey Mandi,
I have thrown Halloween parties for my two girls for some time now.. and here is a simple snack idea you will need a bag of large marshmallows, white chocolate bark, and some black tube icing not much though.. take the marshmallows and put them on some wax paper or paper plate something like that and then melt your white chocolate on the stove on low.. when its melted take a spoon and poor some over the marshmallow not to much but enough to coat the marshmallow completely and run on to the plate a little let them set for a while to harden the chocolate and then take the black tube of icing put two black dots for eyes and a little smile of frown and you have simple marshmallow ghosts they are cute and and yummy.. for any other ideas you should go to familyfun.com they have alot of Halloween ideas that are cheap and easy.. just thought you would like to know..

Look thru some magazines. There are plenty of great ideas in there.

Individual Orange Jello molds.
Microwave Pizza bites.
Microwave Popcorn.
Pillsbury cut & bake cookies - the Halloween ones.
Hot Dogs (just put them in pan with enough water to cover them and boil for about 5 minutes)
Orange soda in a bowl with orange sherbert scooped in it.
Candy Corn, etc -- whatever candy you guys like.

Have someone take you to Sam's club or Costco and buy some microwavable appetizers. That'll be a great party food.

CANDY SUSHI (HOMEMADE RICE CRISPIES ROLLED IN FRUIT ROLL UPS AND LIQUORISH.)
you need one box of rice crispie cereal, one bag of little marshmellow. To make rice crispie, all you do is heat the marshmellow until it is melted on a stove (medium heat). (if you love chocolate, but half or 1 whole bar of choclate to melt with the marshmellow), after add in the rice crispie cereal and mix and then lay it out of a cookie sheet and press it down just like dough until it becomes about 1 inch thick. Now you have to work quickly before the rice crispie harden up. Open up one fruit roll up and put some rice crispie on the top of the fruit roll up (like rice in sushi). Then put about 2 pieces of liquorish. After that, just roll up the candy sushi and cut into little pieces for a great snack. For an extra touch put candy sprinkles outside the sushi to make it look good.

Well, my suggestions would be:

Halloween Sherley Temple (This has some halloween colours!):

What you need to do is take around 2 cans of gingerale (for a punch bowl) and pour them into a punch bowl. Add around, a carton of sparkling/regular orange juice to the gingerale. Then add just a little dash of grenadine (A blood red substance that tastes like cherries) And even add some cherries and licorice for decorations. This is a homemade recipe (Yes I know I am not good at describing how-to-make recipes!)

Smores:

A fun snack that is especially tasty over a campfire! What you need is two gram crackers, some pierces from a chocolate bar, and marshmallows. Put the chocolate and marshmallows between the gram crackers, and pop them in the microwave/fire for around 1-2 minutes. It depends on how stale the chocolate and marshmallows are to decide how long to nuke it.

(Sorry I had to go halfway through if you want more recipes email me at erin_bethell@yahoo.com)

MONSTER EYEBALLS
Mini bagels
Cream cheese
Green Olives
Catsup
Spread cream cheese on mini bagel halves. In the center plop a green olive. Then take the catsup and make tiny bloodshot looking veins on the eye ball (use a toothpick to do this) - that's it. They look creepy and taste good.

Mix together equal parts of peanuts and candy corn

Check out this website http://childparenting.about.com/cs/holid...

It seems to have a lot of really crazy recipes for Halloween snackes.

Hope this helps,

Cheers
