How to organise a 21st birthday party?!

Question: How to organise a 21st birthday party?
I really want a birthday party for my 21st but I'm not sure how to go about organising it as I've never organised a party before? I want an actual party as opposed to just meeting up in town or something. I've found where I would like to have it, but I'm not to sure about the other stuff. Do I have to book the disco (entertainment) or does the venue do it? Also what about food, does the venue do that or do I need to sort that out myself? I want a buffet, but I have set ideas about what kind of food I want. Any advice much appreciated. thanks.

If the venue is licensed for Food and beverage (liquor) they can do it all for you but it is more costly.

If it is a hall you rent you can hire a company/catering to do it all

Or you can rent a place/hall/restaurant/bar and hire each component/service separately.

Many establishments have rooms you can rent or in some cases supply to you for free with the food order at a set price for various numbers based on what you want served.

Of talk to your friends and let them help coordinate it.

get booze

First thing to work out is how many people you need to ask and then find a venue that is the right size.

Different venues supply different things, but depends on your budget.

For my daughters 21st in July she decided to have a fancy dress party themed on hollywood. We hired the local village hall, booked a disco and I did all the food for it. As we didnt have a bar, we asked everyone to bring the booze they wanted to drink. Nobody minded having to bring their own.

It was a really fun night. Just remember keep things fairly simple especially where the food is concerned as if it is a night party most people will have had something to eat before attending and probably only want snacks.
