An upscale menu would just be a fancy menu, sort of not your average restaurant fare, unless all you go to is upscale/fancy or really classy restaurants.
upscale menu really depends on you and what you want to do. my idea of an upscale menu would be like beef or pork tenderloin with an herb rub, roasted potatoes and veggies. perhaps asparagus wrapped in procuitto with a hollandaise sauce? mini tarts for dessert? it all really depends on your funds and your guests tastes.
It's a menu with gourmet and higher end foods on it. One that you would find at a restaurant that charges at least $25 per entree. It's the kind of menu you'd find at a fine-dining restaurant.
