What can I give as favors for my 40th birthday party?!

Question: What can I give as favors for my 40th birthday party?
My husband is throwing me a birthday party next weekend (although my birthday was in June). Any idea for nice, inexpensive favors? Thanks.

I get some good ideas for adult gifts over at Bev Mo - like those little individual airline-sized bottles of liquor - they have some exotic ones you don't find in most liquor stores. And, I've seen where they have pre-loaded martini glasses with booze in them for a couple bucks - try going over there. They have some little inexpensive ideas for good party favors. And not just alcohol items - food items too.

Good luck.

If you want to make a ton of good food at a very good price, shish-ka-bobs (how ever you spell it) cooked over an out door grill. Put the stuff out, let the guest make them and cook them. No one gets stuck doing all the work, and people have fun doing it. Plus I put the food out in containers that are easy to close up, so cleaning is pretty easy. We even made a game up about who could come up with the best (1st place), weirdest (2nd place), and worst looking (3rd place) combination. Almost all the left over, fry em up and make stir fried rice the next day. Happy birthday.

You may have to order just some pizzas and drinks(coke, ....)

Try to make a fun game if you have invited lots of people, so it will be fun.

You may make a speech to say thanks for your husband...

Just decorate the space for party with balloons or some cheap decorations.

You may make your own cake, if you like.

You may want to cook your own.

That's my idea...Make a mini concert!!!!! Let your friends and family sing out loud.

Hoping it helps a bit

MY IDEA!!!

most party favors aren't used so might i suggest that you make cd's of your favorite music , you can buy holders or just use cellophane wrap with a little tag, hope you enjoy this; from me to you... or your friendship is like music to my ears...and hand them out : ) i know i would appreciate it, & at least they will get used...

I would make CDs with old songs you grew up with in high school or college. I'd also get on ebay and look for the old motorola classic brick phones (you can buy them by the dozen cheap) and play a game to remember the funniest stories when cell phone first came out. The new Wall Street sequel will be featuring Gordon Gekko's old phone in the new movie.

You can have little cocktail weenies with any kindd of dipping sauce. Or you could have potato chips, fruit kabobs, deviled eggs and chicken wings. :)

Burn CD's with favorite songs
Candy from your childhood in little bags
Little mesh bags filled with flower bulbs-- (you need to plan the bulbs in the fall and bloom in the spring)
