No. The strawberries exude juices that will turn the strawberry to mush and leave the chocolate a puddle of ooze.
Chocolate covered strawberries should be done the day they are to be served and as close to service as possible.
If there are any done that far ahead the chocolate probably has so much wax in it that you would be better off eating a crayon.
If you need to prepare that far in advance change the dipped strawberry idea into a chocolate fondue and let guests dip their own fruits and bits of pound cake as well as a selection of cookies, pretzels and marshmallows.

2 easy fondue recipes:
Fudgy Milk Chocolate Fondue
1 can 16 ounces chocolate sauce
1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk..NOT evaporated milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
In a heavy sauce pan combine all ingredients cook and stir for 12 to 15 minutes or until slightly thickened.
Serve warm. Can be placed in small crock pot.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Sauce
2 squares 1 ounce each semi sweet chocolate, chopped
2 Tb peanut butter
1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
2 tb milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
In a medium sauce pan over medium heat, melt chocolate and peanut butter with sweetened condensed milk, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat, stir in vanilla.
Serve as a dipping sauce or over ice cream.
If you want to serve as a fondue keep in small crock pot.

Or you might order the chocolate dipped strawberries from DippedFruit. That will be convenient and the strawberries will be good too.

No, I wouldn't make them that far in advance. 24 hours tops.
