If you have access to a trailer or something you could have your dad do hayrides in the field with a 4wheeler or tractor pulling a trailer. If you wanted to go more halloween-y you could make it a haunted hayride and have some relatives or neighbors play those roles on the hayride.
You would want to have something else for the others to do while they were waiting. Again, if you go halloweenish they could paint small pumpkins, have a pumpkin seed spitting contest, or if you don't want to make it halloweenish then it could be more Hoe-down throwdown-ish. You could still do the hayride, paint pumpkins, dance to country music, drink from mason jars, ya know.
Or you have the classic games like capture the flag, things like that. You could also string colored lights around a section of the yard to make a dance area if you think ppl will dance.
Hope some of that helped.
I like the ideas of using mason jars and having a hayride. A fun and kind of unique idea for a fall party like you are planning is to have a Sadie Hawkins Day theme. This is sort of a country theme idea for guys and girls.

Have fun!
