how to spend my budget for my 21st birthday party?!

Question: How to spend my budget for my 21st birthday party?
The budget is 2,000.
It is not a sit down dinner type thing. I'm turning 21 and i want to throw a great party
The guest list will be 65-70 people.
The theme is black and white dress code and i want to turn my house into a blacklight kind of deal.
and of course there will be alcohol!
I want a DJ as well
So how do i spread my budget around wisely?
(also subtract 200 for my dress, shoes, etc.)
Thanks guys i am at a loss!

You could throw a great BBQ, have booze with all the trimmings. I'm thinking a whole hog Hawaiian thing?
Get rid of the black and white dress code - people really hate that if it's formal- sorry. And the black light thing is kind of played out and childish.
DJ fine - $200 for clothes and shoes is better put towards side dishes and appetizers.
A DJ will cost you a couple hundred bucks. You can find a good one on craigslist.

well just have snck food like nachos. dont get expensive on the food that costs. drinks gets expensive too. u can have certain people bring like mixers for drinks or ther fav beer or drink. u can make ur own decortions. jus amke a list of what u want and research the cost and write it down and go from there. that way u can c what u can eliminate or change or whatever.

Cost Factors are:

Start checking the D.J's fees
Plan your meal
Snacks
Drinks

and of course cost of where you are going to have your party.
