I never actually went to a party where people actually danced. Although, I suppose if they do, you can if you really want to. Just go and enjoy yourself. Relax and talk to people. If you take a girl, as long as she knows the people there you don't have to stay with her the whole time, just kind of stay in the general area and check up on her every once in a while to make sure she's having a good time. Unless it's a close friend's party don't show up early. You're 16 so I don't recommend drinking, nobody ever actually tries to push a guy to drink....honestly they're too busy trying to get the girls to - that reminds me, if you bring a girl, and she's drinking, don't be obvious about it but keep an eye on her because guys will try and get her drunk. It happens, there are douchebags at every party. If you need to bail for whatever reason, tell everybody you're tired and you're gonna head out. If you brought a girl, that doesn't mean you have to end the night - if she asks, just tell her it was getting boring and you find her much more interesting, take her out to grab a bite to eat or a cup of coffee and talk.

If you do choose to drink, make sure you have a reliable DD.
