The Gasthaus in Waukesha is one of my faves, especially romantic if you can get in the balcony or near the fireplace (okay, that's mostly a winter thing). Don't go on a Friday, too crowded and noisy. Heaven City was already mentioned, but I agree on the romance and coolness; in addition to an excellent wine list, they also have the old sign from the National Liquor Bar.

Chain restaurants such as Chilis, Applebees, Texas Roadhouse etc. etc. are not romantic and most def nto original.

Make sure you take her someplace different that will always stand out. You can go to an Applebees anyday ... your anniversary needs to be more special than a 2 can eat for $20 deal!

Why don't you let her pick? When you pick her up ask her "Where would you like to go eat?"

you should take her out for a nice meal from a fancy restraunt.Then you should buy a dvd and a tub af choclate/mint ice cream,go home and watch the dvd and eat the ice cream with her,when she falls asleep RUN LIKE **** ! ! !
