instead of a birthday cake let everyone make they're own sundaes! and for your birthday you should have a scavenger hunt in the mall! like umm like you divide people into 2-3 group and tell then to get like maybe a parfum sample, and like maybe a coffee sleeve from starbucks or secend cup, and like get a random persons signature and the group that gets the most stuff in the certain amount of times gets like a prize thing!!!! hoped this helped... alot! =D

Invite your best girlfriends and set up a mini day spa sleepover party in your house, have facials, pedicures, manicures, anything you want. You could get each guest to bring their favourite girly movie, serve snacks like chocolate dipped strawberries, mocktails, and a make-your-own sundae bar. Just before guests leave, you could give them favour bags filled with cool lollies, lipgloss, nailpolish, hairclips, just because you're turning 16 doesn't mean you can't have fun.

White party! As in, everyone wears white--or, at least, a white top--and you get a black light for the main room where the party will take place. Hand out hilighters, and let people write/draw on each other's skin and clothes--the "ink" will glow under the black light. I LOVE white parties. :) It's cool because you can do it with a small crowd, or with a big party--it's kind of an ice breaker, too.

You could go to a nice restaurant, have all your girlfriends wear black while you stand out in a brightly coloured dress, and order mocktails. That's fun but still age-appropriate and not over-the-top.
