you can make a big juicy briquet on tha grill with sum homeade mashed potatoe's and gravy with bean's or any other veggie of your choice with dinner roll's or maybe sum steak's and baked potatoes with a simple salad...or bbq chicken or rib's with sides of your choice any of these can be made on tha grill....for activities you can have simple game's you can find sum on google and you can also maybe say a speach bout them at sum point....im sure they'd love that....hope ive helped sum and may your parent's be blessed with 25 more years.....

tri-tip marinade tri-tip with one bottle beer Budweiser works good add 2 table spoons pappys seasoning or montreal seasoning.(both shouldn't be hard to find)place mixture in ziploc bag and take all air out; leave over night. preheat bar-b-que till good and hot. make sure to have let meat at room temp before cooking so take out of fridge about 45min.to an hour before cooking. place on hot grill. cook five to ten minutes.you want it seared nice and good. next flip and put the lid on let that sit for about 30 min. (what for flare ups) check it out flip it back to original side and leave about another 15 to 20 Min's. pull of then let it rest for at least 15 Min's.(you have to let it rest if not it will be dry.) cut it as thin as possible enjoy! if there is not any flare up don't mess with lid.
I would serve this with boiled corn on the cob. husk corn place it a big pot boil fifteen minutes. done how easy is that. you could also buy some good chili beans caned so you aren't slaving all day.
next make rice pilaf. get a little spaghetti noodles break up heat a large skillet up over medium heat add two table spoons butter. brown spaghetti noodles till nice and brown. add two cups chicken broth and one cup rice. bring to a boil. reduce heat to medium low let cook fifteen minutes. pull of heat don't remove lid. when your ready to eat it will be done let it sit for at least ten minutes off heat.

Cold salads

Pasta salads

Maybe an Italian night with different types of pasta and sauces

Good bread

Good cheese

Fruit

You can hire a DJ and have them play your parent's favorite songs and wedding song, etc.

Have a great party

Bread and water
