Question: Reception Halls Less than $20 per person in IL?
We are looking for a hall near Elmhurst, IL. We are on a tight budget because we have a large family. We are having about 200 guest. The date has been set for Dec. 11, 2010. Any ideas??

I don't know about specific halls in IL, but if you can't get the price you want for a full meal, you could consider having heavy appetizers and desserts instead, which would be less expensive.

Could also have your event over brunch instead of dinner, or have the event on a Sunday instead of Saturday, which should also help you get a lower quote.

One approach might be to tell halls what your budget and expected number of people are, and ask if there's a way to make that happen.

Check with the local parks in the area. Sometimes they have rooms that are available for rent. Also, check the VFW and Columbus Gardens, Elks Club, etc. Is anyone military? You can get some great deals on base if you know someone in the military and there is a military base close by.

why dont you just get 200 happy meals at the drive thru
