Keep it simple, its the easiest way. If people are likely to be coming and going I would suggest a cold buffet style like sausage rolls, quiches, sandwiches and small fancy cakes. Then have a themed birthday cake for the Jungle. As a joke you could also have the jelly bug style sweets as in "I'm a celebrity" .

Good Luck and happy Birthday to your son. x x

finger sandwiches, fruit, sausage rolls, any food your son likes. At my childs last party i ordered some pizza's from the local take-out for the adults, they went down quite well,

Keep it simple. What about hot roast beef sandwiches
It doesn't matter if it goes cold and you can always use
any left over beef. Potato salad etc.
Jellies, buns, Jam sandwiches for the babies.

Pretzels!

just do a running buffet..... sanwiches sausage rolls.... bits of salad and a big cake.... lots of cake.... its a party.. so, lots of cake......
